Web Push Notifications

Do you want to read the latest United news as soon as it breaks?

Web push notifications are a great way for us to send stories directly to you. They can be delivered to your browser, even when you are not viewing our website.

The service is free and easy to set up - all you have to do is opt in to receive notifications from ManUtd.com.

Once you have done that, our alerts will appear in your browser several times per week, bringing you stories from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's press conferences, team news and reaction on matchdays, key club announcements and more.

HOW DO I OPT IN FOR NOTIFICATIONS?

Web push notifications are currently available in the following browsers:

Safari
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Opera

If you visit ManUtd.com in any of those browsers, you should see an on-screen prompt inviting you to allow or deny our notifications. If you allow them, you should receive a push whenever we send the next one.

HOW DO I RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS IF I PREVIOUSLY DENIED THEM?

If you deny the notifications and subsequently decide you want to receive them, the method of changing your preference will depend on the browser. For example:

Safari users should click on Preferences, select Websites and then Notifications. The setting for Manchester United needs to be changed from Deny to Allow.

Google Chrome
users can click on the padlock symbol which appears next to ManUtd.com in the address bar. When the pop-up window appears, change the selection in the Notifications menu from Block to Allow.

Firefox users also click a padlock to open a pop-up window. Under Permissions, on the Send Notifications row, click the cross next to Blocked. When you reload ManUtd.com, the on-screen prompt should give you another opportunity to Allow.
